Former Weather Underground leader Bill Ayers told The Daily Caller Sunday that he agrees with some of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul’s policies. “I find some unity with Ron Paul,” Mr. Ayers said at a dinner attended by The Daily Caller’s editor-in-chief Tucker Carlson and others.
Mr. Carlson won a $2500 dinner for five at the home of Weather Underground leaders Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. The dinner was part of an online auction to help the Illinois Humanities Council. TBD.com’s Ryan Kearney called Mr. Carlson’s dinner with Mr. Ayers a “stunt.”
Despite Mr. Ayers’ appreciation for Mr. Paul’s policies, The Daily Caller reports that the former Weather Underground leader has only voted in a national election once in his life.
