Congressman Phil Gingrey (GA-11) today issued the following statement following the passage of H.R. 358, the Protect Life Act.
“As a pro-life OB/GYN for nearly thirty years, ensuring the safety of all our citizens—especially the unborn—is of the utmost importance to me.
“The American people have made it clear that they do not support using taxpayer dollars to fund abortions, which is why this legislation is so critical. Without it, the President’s Executive Order could be revoked or ignored at any time. As government officials, we must continue to protect the sanctity of life for all of our citizens and I applaud my colleagues in the House for voting today to protect the Constitutional right to life.”
