Florida Rep. Illeana Ros-Lehtinen, Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart and former Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart endorsed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for his 2012 election run Tuesday during a campaign event in Miami, Florida.

Romney made campaign stops in Miami and Tampa Tuesday, giving speeches about the economy, hoping to bolster the Latino vote in Florida as well.

“Mitt Romney believes that America is an exceptional nation and has a strategy to restore our country’s greatness,” Ros-Lehtinen said at the campaign event Tuesday, CNN reports. “The Romney plan for economic growth will create jobs and opportunities for all, especially for South Floridians, who are passionate in their pursuit of the American dream.”

Ros-Lehtinen is Cuban-American and has served Florida’s 18th congressional district since 1989. Her endorsement is key for Romney in Florida which has a lot of Latino voters.

Mario Diaz-Balart is a freshman Florida Republican Rep. that was elected to succeed his brother Lincoln Diaz-Balart in 2010.

Former Republican Florida Sen. Mel Martinez also endorsed Romney in October.

“I am proud to be working with Ileana, Mario, and Lincoln,” Romney said. “They’re conservative leaders who will help me articulate my vision to make America more prosperous at home and respected throughout the world.”

Romney has traded the front runner position to former House Speaker Newt Gingrich in recent national polls.

The former Massachusetts governor has focused on attacking Barack Obama’s handling of the economy and job creation throughout his campaign in recent weeks. On Monday Romney tweeted, “Mr. President, take a break from the personal attacks and answer this critical question: Where are the jobs?”
