Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal is ramping up the fundraising machine, raising cash ahead of his re-election campaign.
The Republican governor has increased his fundraising operation in recent weeks, traveling out of the state for a number of fundraisers. The move comes as Mr. Jindal’s campaign war chest totals nearly $10 million.
Television commercials have begun to air across the state, while personalized phone calls have started to chronic Republican voters asking for volunteer and financial support.
The campaign fundraising follows in the wake of major spending cuts put forth by Mr. Jindal and state lawmakers. Mr. Jindal made a stop in the Ark-La-Tex over the weekend in an effort to raise awareness on possible tax hikes for Louisiana residents that he wants to prevent.
