Oklahoma governor Mary Fallin is facing criticism over attempts to implement an insurance exchange program aimed at complying with President Obama’s health care reform law.
Ms. Fallin discussed her support for legislation that would help create the insurance information exchange just four days after protesters appeared outside of her office.
“So, there’s no question where I stand,” Ms. Fallin said, adding that she hopes the law is eventually ruled unconstitutional or repealed by Congress. “As of today the federal health care bill is the law of the land.”
The Republican governor noted that she continues to work with the state’s attorney general in an effort to challenge the health care law. Oklahoma is one of twenty-six states challenging the law in court.
