Rep. Jay Inslee sent the following email to supporters Tuesday:
So which is the real Rob McKenna?
Is it the one out in public playing nice with public employees like teachers, police officers, and firefighters, or is it the politician we recently got a glimpse of when the cameras were off, and the audience was his conservative donors?
In a recent fundraising letter, McKenna wasted no time blaming Washington’s fiscal crisis on the people out there trying to educate our kids and keep our streets safe — all with fewer and fewer resources. And he promised, if elected, to put an even tighter squeeze on dedicated working families across the state!
So which is it? Does McKenna support teachers and firefighters as he’s said in numerous public interviews, or does he want to bring Scott Walker’s policies attacking public employees to Washington like he wrote to his supporters?
No more double-talk. Washingtonians deserve to know what Rob McKenna really believes. Click here to sign on and tell Rob McKenna to come clean with Washingtonians!
The attack on educators and police officers by the Tea Party fringe can’t be allowed to come to Washington.
Our state can’t afford a replay of the disasters in states like Wisconsin and Ohio — where Republican governors swept into power saying one thing and are now using their office for another — to launch an all-out assault on working families.
And right now, I need your help to get Rob McKenna to tell us the truth: Does he stand with teachers and police officers or does he stand with Scott Walker and his attacks on public employees?
Click here to send Rob McKenna a message: Washington voters deserve honest answers, not double-talk. Respect the voters and come clean now!
The longer McKenna waits to come clean, the clearer it is that he’s trying to hide his true agenda — an agenda he knows won’t fly in Washington.
Thanks for joining us and urging McKenna to come clean today.
Sincerely,
Joby Shimomura
