Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee, on Monday where he was keynote speaker at an event called ‘Celebrate Life’ at the Knoxville Convention Center.
The potential presidential candidate attended the event just days after returning from his trip abroad. Mr. Huckabee traveled to the Mideast as part of a campaign to increase his foreign policy ahead of a likely presidential candidacy.
Mr. Huckabee’s appearance was the latest for the former governor. The Arkansas Republican has made a point of stressing his pro-life stance in a number of recent events.
“Life is really precious, life is God’s creation. We don’t have a right to interrupt a process he has started,” said Mr. Huckabee late Monday night.
Mr. Huckabee continues to travel the nation ahead of a potential presidential campaign. The Republican says he is currently considering a run for president, however, he will not enter the race unless he thinks he can win.
The latest pre-primary polls show Mr. Huckabee with strong support. The former governor has led in a number of polls and is likely a front-runner.
