Rep. David B. McKinley (R-WV) spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives earlier today to honor and celebrate the arrival the Wheeling-based Company C, 1 Battalion, 150th Aviation United of the West Virginia National Guard. The soldiers of Company C will finally return home to Wheeling, West Virginia after serving on a year-long deployment to Kosovo.
“The Northern Panhandle should be excited that the brave men and women from Wheeling’s own Company C will be coming back home to their friends and family, especially during this special time of the year,” McKinley said. “There could not be a better Christmas present for their loved ones. These courageous Americans were deployed on a peacekeeping mission, where they executed 951 total missions. I am proud to welcome home these brave patriots and thank them for their service to our country.”
