Rep. Tim Griffin: More U.S. Exports Means More U.S. Jobs

The State Column | Friday, October 14, 2011

Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement after House passage of the Colombia, South Korea, and Panama Free Trade Agreements:

“I was proud to support these three export agreements because more exports means more jobs – for Arkansas and the entire country. Thousands of Arkansans earn their living from the export of Arkansas-made products to other countries. When job creators have access to new markets, they can hire additional employees and expand their businesses here in the United States.”

According to the National Association of Manufacturers, nearly 66,000 Arkansas jobs are supported by manufactured goods exports. To learn more on what these export agreements mean for Arkansas, please click here.
