Former Pennsylvania U.S. Senator Rick Santorum is certainly taking the all necessary steps towards running for president.
The Republican is scheduled to attend a March forum held by Iowa Republicans, a further sign that Mr. Santorum is preparing to run for president in the upcoming 2012 presidential campaign.
The Pennsylvania Republican will attend a Sioux City event the Woodbury County Republican Party is calling a presidential forum. Mr. Santorum will join potential Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain at the event. The event will be the first with a possible presidential candidate in the city since former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty appeared at a fundraiser in October.
The event will follow a previous announcement out of the Santorum campaign, which confirmed the former U.S. Senator will also attend an event hosted by Iowa U.S. Rep. Steve King. Mr. King’s March 26 Conservative Principles Conference has confirmed that Mr. Santorum and U.S. Senator Jim DeMint will attend the event in late March.
