Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is set to launch another money bomb on February 14th. The “No One But Paul” money bomb is the Ron Paul Presidential Campaign Committee’s latest effort to raise funds before Super Tuesday, which features nearly a dozen primaries and caucuses across the nation.
“Your previous support has ensured our campaign can break through the establishment’s distortions and take our message directly to the American people,” Mr. Paul said in an email to supporters Wednesday.
“But there are millions more who have yet to make their final decision on which candidate to vote for, and I’m confident we can recruit many more supporters if I have the resources to reach them in the coming days,” Mr. Paul added.
Mr. Paul pulled in $13 million in the 4th quarter of 2011, according to Politico’s James Hohmann. Much of that $13 million came from small-time donors who gave during the Texas congressman’s previous money bombs. The “Veterans Day” and “Tea Party” money bombs were two of the fundraisers organized by Mr. Paul’s supporters in the 4th quarter of 2011.
Mr. Paul’s “No One But Paul” money bomb will generate the necessary funds for the former Air Force surgeon to conduct campaign activities and events over the next several weeks.
Although he finished in third place in the Nevada Caucuses on Saturday, Mr. Paul secured a second place finish in Minnesota on Tuesday. With three weeks until the Arizona and Michigan primaries, Mr. Paul continues to pursue his strategy of securing delegates.
“Our strong second place finish in Minnesota is an excellent foundation to build on for the coming states, but I must be able to depend on your continued support if I am to reach millions more voters in the coming days,” Mr. Paul posited.
Except for the Nevada Caucuses, Mr. Paul has seen a considerable increase in voter turnout in 2012 compared to 2008. Surging voter turnout is most likely a sign of growing voter enthusiasm for Mr. Paul’s candidacy.
“Our campaign is continuing to make history in state after state, as we blow past our totals from 2008 and secure key delegate spots crucial to winning the nomination,” Mr. Paul professed.
The “No One But Paul” money bomb is the second money bomb of 2012.
