It seems former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is worth an estimated $12 million since leaving office.
The estimate, which may be much higher or much lower than Ms. Palin’s actual worth, comes as the result of six-figure speaking gigs and book deals. The conservative estimate is based on publicly available records and news accounts. The actual amount is hard to determine since Ms. Palin does not publicize her earnings.
The move represents a significant increase for Ms. Palin, who left the $125,000/year governorship in Alaska. Ms. Palin resigned from the governorship in 2009.
The Alaska Republican, and potential presidential candidate, continues to demand a $100,000 fee for speaking engagements and she will continue to earn an estimated $250,000 per episode for her reality television show.
Ms. Palin remains under scrutiny following her response to Rep. Gabrille Giffords shooting in Arizona. The Alaska Republican was interviewed on Fox News, defending her response to the shooting.
Ms. Palin faced criticism over her political action committee’s use of a “bulls-eye” on her campaign website.
