NBC’s 30 Rock star Tina Fey said Tuesday she may support a run for president by former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
Appearing on “The Oprah Winfrey Show”, Ms. Fey seemed to express support for a Palin presidential run, saying it would be “fun.” Ms. Winfrey gathered an unusual group of “Saturday Night Live” alums, including Chevy Chase, Jane Curtin, Dana Carvey, Tracy Morgan and Ms. Fey.
When Winfrey asked if Ms. Fey hoped Palin would run for president in 2012, Ms. Fey said “kinda” and that playing her again would be “fun.”
Ms. Fey, who famously played Ms. Palin on SNL during the 2008 election, gained national attention for her interpretation of the Alaska governor.
Meanwhile, Ms. Palin continues to consider a run for president. The Alaska Republican has expressed interest in seeking the Republican presidential nomination, however, she says a decision has not been reached.
Ms. Palin slammed the Obama administration last week, accusing President Obama of using the troops as political pawns during the federal budget negotiations. “Basically, he’ll veto military funding because he wants the rest of the government funded too, Ms. Palin said. “And by the rest of the government, he means things like Harry Reid’s “Cowboy Poetry.”
