It seems former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman may lack support in one state: Utah.
As Mr. Huntsman prepares for a potential Republican presidential campaign, a number of Utah Republicans are hesitant to back the potential presidential candidate.
Utah Republicans are holding back on any endorsement and may even support a different White House contender: former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. Both Utah U.S. Senator Mike Lee and Utah U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz remain mum on whether they plan on supporting a Huntsman bid.
Meanwhile, recent polls show the former Republican governor lacking support amongst likely Republican voters from Utah. In a match-up of Mormon presidential hopefuls, Mr. Romney would best Mr. Huntsman by a 2-to-1 margin.
Mr. Huntsman has resigned his ambassadorship effective the end of this month and is expected to decide soon after whether he will launch a presidential bid.
